Adventure Awaits! Paddle, hike, and explore along the mighty Columbia River!

“Wahkiakum” (wa-ki-a-kum) is a unique word from the Chinook language meaning Tall Timber. Once you set foot here, you can see the name is fitting. Not only do we have beautiful forests, but we are sitting on the Columbia River as well. Here you can cast a line, unwind your mind, and take in the majesty of surrounding area. We have much to offer visitors and residents alike. Drop by the Chamber of Commerce Visitors Center for maps, directions, information, and a smile!
